Step by Step Professional Family Foot Care is very happy to announce that our new Shoe Boutique is now open!
Stylish orthotic footwear
We stock the latest fashions in orthotic-friendly but stylish shoes that won’t hurt or damage your feet, so you can look great AND feel awesome!
With the addition of this service, our hope was to make it easier for our patients to find comfortable orthotic shoes that support both the well-being of their feet but also their sense of style. We are very excited about the line-up of top quality brand names that we are have to offer.
Even if you don’t have or need orthotics, these shoes are a great choice to help you prevent painful foot conditions from developing in the first place.
They are properly designed to provide the right fit, the right support, and the right cushion to prevent or alleviate pain in the feet, knees, legs, hips, and back that are often caused by wearing poorly constructed shoes.
If you do need customized orthotics, the shoes feature removable inserts and the extra room needed to accommodate your custom inserts.
Orthotics for everyone, including hard-to-fit feet
With more than 100 styles to choose from, our comfortable, wearable styles include boots, dress shoes, sandals, hikers, casual shoes and hard to find sizes that work for hard to fit feet. We are currently carrying styles from Portofino, Dr. Comfort, and Drew, all of which are top brands for orthotic-friendly shoes.
Portofino is a Canadian orthopedic shoe company which began in 1959. Their motto is “better shoes, better life”, and we couldn’t agree more. Their shoes are imported from Spain and Italy and are of the highest European quality and design.
Dr. Comfort started in 2002 and soon became a leader in the therapeutic shoe industry and a well-respected provider of diabetic footwear. Today, their product line-up includes diabetic shoes, prescription and non-prescription inserts, diabetic socks, slippers, sandals, and compression socks.
Drew Shoes boasts over 130 years of research backing their shoe designs; the origins of the company date back to 1875! Today, they are a leader in the medical shoe industry, providing specialized shoes for sufferers of diabetes, arthritis, and other medical conditions.
Employer benefits – use them or lose them
As we get closer to the end of 2014, it’s a great time to think about investing in orthotics.
Orthotics are covered by many employer benefits plans. Many of those plans cover a calendar year, and once the year ends, you lose the unused portion of your benefit entitlements.
If you’ve been thinking about getting orthotics to relieve achy or painful feet, now is the time to give us a call and book an assessment.
If you need new shoes to accommodate your orthotic inserts, or are just looking for quality shoes that will support your feet, provide all-day comfort, and look fantastic, come visit the Shoe Boutique at Step by Step Professional Family Foot Care and walk out looking and feeling great!
